My name is Helen Mulvaney and I’m a freelance photographer, based in London & SE.
I began photography at University while studying Graphic Design, where I trained in film & studio photography. Prior to becoming a photographer, I worked as a Production Manager for titles such as Elle & Grazia and have lived & worked in both Singapore & the USA.

My work has appeared in The Evening Standard ES Insider & Grazia Online. Clients include H&M, Asda, TUI, Costa Coffee, The Jersey Tourist Board, Warners Gin, Lime Micromobility, Sarah Ann Macklin for Be Well Collective, international make up artist Mary Jane Frost, Electric Sunshine Creative Agency, Forty Winks Brighton, girl band The Four of Diamonds, Festival of the Girl, Hannah Presence Yoga, The Pilates Body Lab, Purdom Bespoke Furniture and Guthrie & Kirkwood Interior Design. In October 2020, I was thrilled to be asked to be a speaker at ‘Festival of the Girl’, with an introduction to photography for girls aged 7-11.

In 2022, I was asked to work as a freelancer as part of Studio M: https://thestudiom.com

Personal photography projects have been entered into the National Portrait Gallery Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize & The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Currently projects are ‘Teenagers of Lockdown’ which will be published this year and an interview series ‘Behind the Shoot’.

I aim to create artistic & emotive photographs that tell a story. I have always loved photography & this will forever be the foundation of my work.

I live at Little Brook House in Kent with my husband & two children. When we’re not there, you’ll find us by the sea at my Mum’s.
